Just now I’m working with a short text, a line from Herta Müllers book; “hjärtdjur “or may be “heartanimal” (?) in English… The original title is; Herztier. It’s about snails, and a mulberry tree.
In the mulberry tree you can find silkworms or the cocoons… and if you also added fantasy and some Peter Greenaway … Somewhere between all these inspiration and mess; I got my inspiration of what I’m working with just now… I just show it, so I know by myself that I’m going in some kind of direction… Later on I will add some African adornment to this…
My intention is to do colourful jewelleries with; wool, French knitting, glass beads, recycling material and some kind of not so obvious material mix…
So here you have my mind board/map for the moment, and later on I hope you will see the final result in an exhibition…
It’s a silk cocoon; it’s my try to build up 3-D shapes of wool and beads (and play with the photos, so I get some new views of these work) and it’s amazing African adornments.
To be curios and have fun when I’m working is my biggest intention, without this two ingredients is no idea to work, I think…
